Meter Scripts

The WattWächter WiFi/USB uses Tasmota scripts to read data from your electricity meter. Since different manufacturers configure their meters differently, a script matching your meter type is required.

Maximal scripts

The scripts are designed as maximal scripts – they contain all possible data points for a meter type. Unused lines can be removed as needed.

Prerequisites

For the WattWächter to receive all measurement data, the following settings must be configured on your meter:

• Request PIN activation from your grid operator
• In the meter menu: set PIN to Off
• In the meter menu: set Inf to On

These settings enable extended data transmission via the IR interface.

Setting Up a Script

1. Open the WattWächter's web interface
2. Navigate to Tools → Edit Script
3. Enable Script enable
4. Copy and paste the complete script for your meter type
5. Click Save

Select your meter manufacturer and model to display the matching script:
